5:00 – 7:00 p.m., The Municipal Building in The Alley

Join us in the Municipal Building at 5 p.m. as we prepare to march in Joye in Aiken’s very first Jazz Funeral Parade!  Led by Artistic Director for Jazz Riley Mulherkar, the parade will feature local dignitaries, a horse-drawn caisson and a brass band made up of local and visiting jazz musicians.  After the parade ends, come back to the Municipal Building for refreshments and to help us celebrate the start of our biggest Festival week ever.  Then be sure to visit one of the restaurants in The Alley that will be featuring Mardi Gras-themed specials in honor of the event.

The Year 11 Festival Celebration With the Artists, Friday, March 15

Immediately following the Festival Finale, The Pink House

Join us at one of Aiken’s most beautiful homes for one of the town’s most memorable parties!  The artists love this chance to let their hair down after a jam-packed Festival week, so chances are you’ll find some of them jamming together until the wee hours in this gorgeous Winter Colony mansion.  The spirit is celebratory, the impromptu music will be some of the best you’ll ever hear, and the dinner buffet is legendary.  It’s always a magical end to a magical time.
