The New Orleans-Style Funeral Parade and “Paint the Town Red” Festival Kickoff Party, Thursday, March 5, 2020
5:00 – 7:00 p.m., The Municipal Building in The Alley
Join us in the Municipal Building at 5 p.m. as we prepare to march in Joye in Aiken’s popular Jazz Funeral Parade! Led by Artistic Director for Jazz Riley Mulherkar, the parade will feature local dignitaries, a horse-drawn caisson and a brass band made up of local and visiting jazz musicians. After the parade ends, come back to the Municipal Building for refreshments and to help us celebrate the start of a fabulous Festival week.

The artists love this chance to let their hair down after a jam-packed Festival week, so chances are you’ll find some of them jamming together until the wee hours in this gorgeous Winter Colony mansion.
